Designed to meet the needs and expectations of 21st-century users, the new Fraser-Hickson Community Library & Resource Centre was scheduled to reopen in 2010 in the magnificent lower level of Trinity Memorial Church (at Marlowe & Sherbrooke in NDG), subject to grant approval.
Recently, after leasing the space for 15 months, preparing architectural plans, engineering studies and legal documents, and carrying out testing, estimating and fund-raising, we have been informed by the Anglican Diocese of Montreal that it does not intend to extend our lease, thereby preventing the project from going forward.
